Stop and Stare

Something that holding a camera has taught me in all this time is to have a variety of perspectives. Not only is photography my greatest time pass and hobby but it is also one of the finest method I can think of that brings out the creative in my heart.

This is a collection of photographs that I could gather that I have clicked on different random boring days. I choose only those photos that I think have tingled my funny little heart.

Paparazzi

This is definitely not a story about me following around celebrities to get there pictures and neither is it about any self photography that I always prefer doing. This time I found a class project that we did during our final year journalism class. So since our lecturers thought that we should be getting practical work in out mass communication classes, they decided to let us make short videos with special messages. And since there was no other option to evade this assignment containing yummy amount of marks for our end semester results, we had to bring a good outcome.

We had a very tough time deciding the theme for the video, then we had difference in ideas, difference in perception and well everything else. So as the submission date was coming closer we had out asses on fire and had to come up with a final decision. I put down the idea for the video and somehow managed to convince everyone. With just one day left we started our shooting, and amazingly we finished it in just 20 mins.

So the video we made was about recycling, one of the causes I support with all my heart. This is our version of recycle, though it is not an original idea, its a remake with a twist and intake of creative heads. Hope you like the video and my first direction.

Family Portrait

When you move out of the house and find shelter in a different time zone and amongst strangers what is the one thing that you look for? Well when I shifted to Bangalore for a few years the ones that I dearly missed was my family back home. So the best solution for missing home and family is that you create a new family amongst familiar faces. So did I have one in my almost home? Well I certainly did. Over the many occasions and get together, I have found some amazing portraits of the ones I love.
So a salute to all my friends and second family back in Bangalore and cheers for all the times that kept the home-sick feeling buried inside. And also for all the care and love that we were able to build up in so less time.

P.S - The photos have not all been clicked by me. So the photo credits also goes to my TWINNY, Granny Neha.

All In My Head

This cold winter not only brought along the annoying cough, cold and fever but it also got me plenty of time for myself. So how is it that I am utilizing my time, first of all my catching up on my sleep that I dearly love. Secondly I have plenty of time to be lazy and do nothing but just watch my truly missed movies and dramas. Thirdly and well the most important utilization being, rejuvenation of my constant blogging attitude!!
So on the third note, I have been scanning my photo albums in search of old hidden stories beneath all the pictures stored. While still into that student phase back in Bangalore, I found time to constantly click pictures. But since laziness is engraved to the last bone in my body, most of my photos have been through my balcony or my window pane. The result of my lazy days at home.

The Great Escape

So, I was just asking myself what has changed since last December? I had plenty of answers running through my mind and lets just says there was a little to much to mention everything. But one particular thing that clicked my silly brains is that unlike right now, buried under a pile of warm clothes, sipping hot tea and constantly complaining about the cough and cold that has been glued to me, last December I was enjoying the sun-tanning beaches, chilled beer, amazing sea-food and was rocking bikinis.
Scanning my photo albums I could gather some memories of me and my girls that we were able to capture during the trip to GOA. Along with missing all the beach action, the crazy clubbing and amazing scenery I also miss my girls and the sun this chilly winter. I hope that next December, I would be under the amazing sun with my girls doing a re-run of December 2010.

How To Save A Life

Quenching my hunger pangs is the most essential goal as I drag myself out of my warm, cozy bed during the chilly Kathmandu winter mornings. So what do I crave for my first meal of the day? definitely BACON! So one cold weekend me and my boys headed out for the ultimate breakfast pleasure to Mike's Breakfast, Naxal. And what did we do there?? probably made the new record of chowing down that yummy treat in record time, somehow felt like I was witnessing my personal man vs food moment.
